The LFM believes in sharing local goodness at our weekly Summer Market, including the talents and work of the greater community. We welcome artisans, musicians and community groups to apply and join the market. Click on the relevant link below to learn how .

Artisans

LFM is pleased to provide tent space for local artisans. Our Artisans page has details along with the list of artisans who may appear.

How Artisans Can Apply:

For the 2024 Season:

  • The LFM provides up to two artisan tents each market day, with one artisan per tent.
  • The Artisans’ Tent fee is $35/week.
  • Commercial liability insurance for all market participants is required by the LFM’s insurance agency. This is becoming the standard practice at farmers’ markets across the country. There are one-day lower cost policies available from the following insurance companies:

Musicians

The market features talented local musicians performing during market hours. You can sign up for the LFM newsletter to see who is playing at the market each week!

How Musicians Can Apply

We love to hear from musicians interested in playing at the market. Please visit this page to review the details of the gig. If you want to be part of the summer market, send an email with a sample of your music (You Tube link or MP3 file). If we’re a good fit, we’ll forward you an application!

Community Groups

LFM welcomes non-profit organizations and community groups to share information on services and activities that are in alignment with our mission and guiding principles. Our Community Groups page says more about the groups scheduled to appear.

How Community Groups Can Apply

Organizations that would like a slot in the Community Tent for the Summer Market season can apply here.

  • Preference will be given to organizations that are either based in or support residents of Lexington and surrounding communities, and promote healthy eating and lifestyle, local food, food equity and sustainability.
  • The LFM will work to accommodate all appropriate organizations within the market season but due to demand cannot offer multiple dates for an individual group.
