September 14 - Bike to the Market for Election Day
NOTE: The Market will change location for one day, September 14, and will be in front of the Visitors' Center, on Bedford Street, across from the Battle Green. This is being done to allow voters easy access to Cary Hall.
This is a great chance to pedal over to the market site, burn some calories, and reduce your carbon footprint by just a little! Friends of Lexington Bikeway will host a bike corral and we encourage you talk with FoLB members about getting involved in their education and stewardship programs.
September 21 - Crafts for Charity
Daniel Palant, a long-time resident of Lexington, and a crafter himself who has donated his crafts to many charities in the past, is teaming up with the Lexington Farmers’ Market to host Crafts for Charity, a day devoted to supporting charity. Dr. Palant has spearheaded this event with the goal of selling crafts to benefit the following charities: The Lexington Food Pantry, Project Bread, The Pine Street Inn and Rosie’s Place.
All proceeds from sales at the Artisans’ Tent on this day will go to these charities. Many of the artisans who come to the Lexington Farmers’ Market Artisans’ Tent will be generously donating their art to benefit these wonderful charities.
Representatives from some of these charities will be available to answer questions and/or accept direct donations. Please be sure to stop by the Lexington Farmers’ Market on September 21st to support these worthy causes.
